Scott Home Inspection is able to perform basic functional tests and inspection on Septic Systems and Well Systems, during a standard home inspection.

When buying a home, in addition to the standard home inspection, we can perform a functional test and check out of the Septic system and Well system.
Septic System review - This inspection involves visually verifying performance of the septic drain system, visual inspection of the tank where an accessible lid is available, and inspection of the leach field area.
Well System review - This inspeciton involves visually verifying the performance of the well pump system, expansion tank, pressure regulation system, and visually inspecting the well cap. Separate Water Quality Testing is also available, where samples are drawn and a 7-point test is performed of the water quality, based upon EPA recommended sampling protocols.
For any of these inspection services, if we find areas of strong concern, we will recommend that a well or septic specialist be called out for further investigation.
